Daniela COLTRINI, born on August 11, 1967, Italy; Italian; graduate in Biological Sciences, University of Milan, Italy; 1992-1994: attend General Pathology, Univ. Brescia, Italy; 1994-1999: PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology applied to Biomedical Sector, Univ. Brescia; 1999-2001: Post-Doctoral Fellow in General Pathology, Univ. Brescia; 2002 Post graduate training in Biochemical and Clinical Chemistry Univ. Brescia; 2001-2022: Research Assistant Professor in Histology, Univ. Brescia, Italy.2022-today Associated Professor Section of Experimental Oncology and Immunology, Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine, Univ. Brescia, Italy.

Fields of Research: 1994-present: Subcellular localization of basic Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF2), Biochemical bases of interaction of FGF2 with glycosaminoglycans, Interaction of HIV-1 Tat Protein with Heparin, Role of Fibroblast Growth Factor-2 and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor on tumor growth and angiogenesis. Role of long pentraxin-3 as a FGF-inhibitor in tumor growth and neovascularization. GALC deficency and neurodegeneration.
