The principal interest is applied cellular biology and chromosomal study to identify gene-disease and genotype-phenotype correlation.
The current interest is the generation of human inducible pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) to study cellular and molecular underpinnings of chromosomal syndrome Cri du Chat, and also of develop-mental and neuropsychiatric disorders such as Mood Disorders, Schizophrenia.
My principal line of research is aimed to study the molecular and functional mechanism of the deleted genes, involved in Cri du chat syndrome, in human neurons derived from iPSC as translational tool for precision medicine and drug discovery in this syndrome.
Another line of research is cellular studies in endothelial and mesenchymal stromal cells aimed to regenerative medicine.
