The research activity focuses on the role of angiogenesis in different pathological settings, including ocular neovascular disorders and cancer. Aims of the research are represented by the dissection of the molecular and pathological mechanisms involved in retinal neovascularization, the identification of new therapeutic targets and the evaluation of the efficacy of novel drugs taking advantage of innovative experimental models.
