The activity of the group, in collaboration with Prof. Bergese and Dr. Radeghieri, is focused on the chemical engineering of biological membranes (for example of extracellular vesicles) by means of bioorthogonal chemistry methods that allow the introduction of chemical functionalities without compromise its biological activity.
In addition, the properties of tetrapyrrole macrocycles as chromophores for application in the biological field are investigated.
