Major research interests
- Studies on the activation of transduction pathways and of transcription factors in specific brain areas of rats in different post-natal developmental stages after an in vivo hyperthermia.
- Studies on the effects of IL-6 on the inhibition of necrotic or apoptotic cell death and on the induction of cellular proliferation in different models of acute and chronic liver injury.
- Studies on the signal transduction pathways activated by the HIV protein p17 in different cell types of myeloid origin.
- Studies on the cellular handling of newly indentified alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency variants in in vitro models of disease.
- Studies on the role of the mineralocorticoid receptor in the progression of colon cancer
- Studies on the response of bronchial epithelial cells to pro-inflammatory stimuli
- Studies on the role of atypical chemochine receptors
