AREAS OF RESEARCH EFFORT 2009-present Environmental Risk Assessment (i) Pest Risk Assessment (PRA) activities conducted as scientific expert (including chair or rapporteur for various opinions) on the third consecutive mandate at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) (www.efsa.europa.eu), Panel on health of plants (PLH) with application to over 130 case studies. (ii) Development of the new quantitative risk assessment methodology for EFSA in the plant health sector. (iii) Methods and models for the Entry, Establishment, Spread and Impact of invasive alien species. (iv) Environmental risk assessment based on the analysis of impacts on ecosystem services and biodiversity, including the management of endangered species. (v) Modeling of bioindicator populations in terrestrial and aquatic habitats.
