BADIANI Barbara

Barbara Badiani is research in Urban Planning at the University of Brescia (Italy), Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture, Land and Environment (DICATA) since 2005.
In the year 1996 she graduated cum laude in Civil Engineering at the University of Brescia, where she also obtained in 2000 a 3 year-Research Doctorate in Urban Planning.
He taught Analisys of urban settlements and Envirnomental Analisys at the University of Brescia and Urban Planning since at Politecinc of Ancona since the Academic year 2005/2006.
The main field of research, conducted first under the guide of Prof. M.Tira regards the urban mobility and the quality of urban spaces. She studies methodology to analyse the character of the urban spaces and of the landscape. She applies the results in different study cases, in particular, in the environmental urban assessment procedure for plans and projects.
She has participated in different researches at National and European level as:
- “Developing Urban Management and Safety” (DUMAS), finanziato nell'ambito del IV Programma Quadro - Trasporti (1997-2000)
- “QUATER: Il quadro della pianificazione territoriale in Italia", finanziata dal CNR (1999);
- “Proactive crisis management of urban infrastructures”, COST C19 (2003-2007);
- “Linee guida per gli studi di impatto ambientale, studio sui criteri e procedure finalizzati alla stima
degli impatti”, Provincia di Brescia (2005);

Inoltre, ha collaborato alla redazione di Piani urbanistici di livello locale ed è responsabile delle attività di propedeutiche all'aggiornamento del PTC del Parco Oglio Nord, affidate per incarico all'Università di Brescia (2024/25).
