PERSONAL INFORMATION
Maurizio Carpita was born in Rovereto (TN) on July 21st, 1963. He lives in Rovereto (TN).
He received his M.S. degree in Political Economics at the University of Trento in 1988 and his PhD degree in Methodological Statistics at the University of Trento in 1993.
ACADEMIC CAREER
1994-2000: Researcher of Statistics at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Brescia.
2000-2005: Associate Professor of Statistics at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Brescia.
2005-today: Full Professor in Statistics at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Brescia.
ACTUAL ASSIGNMENTS AND AFFILIATIONS
Delegate of the Rector for Quality and President of the Quality Office of the University of Brescia;
Delegate of the Rector as Referent of AlmaLaurea for the University of Brescia;
Scientific Coordinator of the DMS StatLab - Statistical Laboratory "Data, Methods and Systems" of the University of Brescia;
Scientific Coordinator of the Research Group SVQS “Statistics for the Evaluation and Quality in Services” of the Italian Statistical Society.

Methods, models and statistical applications in data science for the analysis of:
- big data, spatio-temporal and geo-referenced data;
- psychometric and customer satisfaction data;
- quantitative and qualitative microdata of the labor market;
- Member of the RU Project “DS4BS – Data Science for Brescia, Arts and Cultural Places”, co-founded by Fondazione CARIPLO (2021-2022);
- Coordinator of the Department RU Project “MoSoRe – Infrastrutture e servizi per la Mobilità Sostenibile e Resiliente”, co-founded by Regione Lombardia (2020-2022);
