MAZZU' Angelo

Angelo Mazzù is Full Professor of Machine Design at the University of Brescia. His more-than-twenty years research activity, started with the PhD course in Materials for Engineering, was mainly focused on Rolling Contact Fatigue, assessed both experimentally and theoretically. Many of his about 80 publications on international journals and conference proceeding deal with this topic. He is the person in charge for the Rolling Contact Laboratory (RCLab) of the University of Brescia. He was project manager for the University of Brescia in industrial research contracts on rolling contact problems with Italian and foreigner companies. He co-tutored a PhD thesis on the development of hybrid bearings for aerospace applications, in cooperation with the INSA-Lyon institute (France) and the SNECMA company (France). He was member of ESIS Technical Committee 24 (Integrity of Railway Structures).
Presently he is in charge of courses for student of Mechanical and Industrial Automation Engineering. He is member of the teaching board of the PhD of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the University of Brescia (DRIMI); he has been, and presently is, supervisor of some PhD students of the same PhD course.
