Our main research goal is to discover the molecular mechanisms that drive the growth and dissemination of rhabdomyosarcoma, a pediatric soft tissue tumor resulting from precursors of mesenchymal cells that are characterized by the expression of muscle-specific markers. Currently, the greatest efforts are aimed at characterizing the molecular mechanisms underlying the chemo- and radioresistance of the tumor.
