Molecular pharmacology of neuroendocrine function and pituitary adenomas

The reserach interests (basic science) include: - the somatostatin receptor physiology and somatostatin agonists and antagonists - the somatotropic axis in animal models of obesity and glucocorticoid excess - the characterization of novel drug targets in GH-secreting pituitary adenomas (in-vitro studies) Moreover, - the characterization of bioactive peptides from food protein affecting endocrine and metabolic functions (food intake, body weight gain and glucose homeostasis)
