Transcriptional mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases

Group
The research group studies epigenetic and inflammatory mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases, focusing on the role of the transcription factor NF-kB. The group develop experimental models of neurological diseases such as brain ischemia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and Parkinson's disease, in order to identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets for the study of innovative drugs. The research group collaborates with philosopher (Nicoletta Cusano Unint Roma) on ontological and ethical aspects of scientific experimentation in the biomedical field
