UBERTI Daniela Letizia

Daniela Uberti, was born in Brescia, on October 28th 1965. On 1993 she became Dr in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technology, at University of Milan. On 1999 she became PhD in Neuroscience at the Department of Biomedical Science and Biotechnologies, University of Brescia. From July 1997 to July 1998 she attended the Molecular Cell Biology labortaory, Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel under the supervision of Prof. Varda Rotter. From January 2004 she has held the position of researcher at the University of Brescia, School of Medicine. Daniela Uberti is co-author of more then 55 publications, and she coordinate a group of one postdoc, 2 PhD students and 2 master students in Biotechnologies.
Her research has been mainly focused on the identification of biomarkers for aging and aging-related disease, such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). These studies have been started more then 10 years ago, and in 2003 she patented a method for the early diagnosis of AD in peripheral cells. In these years she has woven international network and collaborations, including MSWiA Hospital,
She recently founded a University Spin Off of which she has the role of president.
On January 2012 she won a funds from MIUR, art.11 DR 2000/593, for the constitution of a University Spin Off, currently active, of which she is the president.
Currently she attends the National Institute of Biological Science, Scientific Park, Beijing, China.
