ZIZIOLI DANIELA

Dott.ssa Zizioli Daniela is a researcher of Biochemistry Laboratory, Department of Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology, University of Brescia.
She was born in Chiari (Bs) 17.03.1966.
During the years 1989-1990 she attended the Biochemistry Laboratory (Director Prof. Guido Tettamanti), Department of Biochimestry, University of Milan.
1990: She took her degree (full marks) in Biological Science (University of Milan).
Since 1990 she attended the Biochemistry Laboratory (director Prof. Augusto Preti), Department of Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology, University of Brescia.
1992-1996 She was a Ph.D student and during these years she spent her time in Biochemistry Institute (Director Prof. Kurt von Figura)- Georg-August-Universitat of Gottingen (Germany). She learned manipulation, microinjection and other tecniques of molecular biology in order to have “knock out” mice.
1996-2000 She had a post-doc position and she was in School in Biochemesrty, Department of Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology, University of Brescia.

Since 2000 She has a permanent position as a researcher in Biochemistry

The main research fields of dott.ssa Zizioli Daniela are:
1) Use of transgenic mouse to study the intracellular vescicular transport
2) Use of zebrafish as a “model” to study the intracellular vesicular traffic.
3) Use of zebrafish as animal model to study lysosomal diseases
