November 2002: Assistant Professor of Metallurgy in the Mechanical Engineering Department, at the University of Brescia.
July 2003: Ph.D. in Material Engineering at University of Brescia on the “Application of Advanced Analytical Techniques for the Study of Metallurgical Problems”.
December 1999: degree in Mechanical Engineering at University of Brescia.
TEACHING
From 2005 he is teacher of “Corrosion and Protection of Metals” (Material Engineering Degree, N.O.).
From 2003 he is teacher of “Metallurgical Plants” (Material Engineering Degree, N.O. and V.O.)
In 2003 he was teacher in the II Level University Master in “Metallic materials”, organized by the Universities of Bergamo and Brescia.

- Collaboration with the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for the preparation of a European Normative about the use of diffraction method for residual stresses determination.
- Development of new methods for residual stress measurements based on bidimensional X-ray diffraction.
- Mechanical characterization of thin ceramic films deposited by physical vapour deposition technique (PVD).
- Application of advanced chemical-physical analytical techniques to the study of metallurgical problems.
- Study of minimal quantity lubrication (MQL) effects on wear of cutting tools.
- Characterization of hot corrosion phenomena in metals.
