The studies carried on by Dr. Giacomini's research group are focused on identifying new therapeutic targets for the treatment of hematologic malignancies, including multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Also, these studies are aimed at developing new therapeutic approaches (e.g., small molecules FGF trap) and studying the molecular mechanisms involved in their anti-tumor activity.
