Building Production

The Building Production research group investigates the interface between design and construction management with a focus on project coordination and management procedures enabled by digital innovation. In particular, the group collaborates with construction companies and public administrations in the field of public works and private construction on the topics of digital construction, building information modelling and information management. Moreover, the Building Production group collaborates with the multidisciplinary and interdepartmental research group eLUX - Energy Laboratory as University eXpo on the adoption of innovative technologies for smart building and smart safety. The research activities are developed in national and international contexts also through the participation in networks such as Campus Edilizia Brescia, the Italian Society of Science, Technology and Engineering of Architecture (ISTeA), the European Network for Digital Building Permits (EUnet4DBP) and the European Council on Computing in Construction (EC3). The group also participates in the activities of buildingSMART Italia and UNI – Italian Standardisation Body in the field of innovation and digitalisation for construction.
