The study of neuroanatomy applied to specific problems can bring enormous benefits in terms of basic knowledge and the rapid translation to the medical-surgical field. The goal of this research group is to study nerve areas and pathways involved in specific pathophysiological processes, such as peripheral neuropathy and autism spectrum disorders, by evaluating molecular mechanisms and morphological aspects, both macroscopic and microscopic.
