- Scientific Responsible for the Visiting Professor activities in the DICATAM University of Brescia, of prof. João Ferreira Nunes, director of the PROAP group, professor in the Academy of Architecture of the University of Italian Switzerland, who will hold a series of seminars on the topics proposed by O. Longo:
1) Border's Architectures: the border as a place of separation between different situations, where there are complex and contradictory aspects dictated by various physical, landscape, regulations, functional, etc. conditions. In the idea of the border as a meeting place, positive or negative, the space can be conceived in inclusive and pluridentitari terms, becoming an interesting catalyst for new forms of local imagination, to create innovative places that understand the idea of an architecture "weak and diffused" (Branzi) where the concept of weakness indicates a creative act based on modification and knowledge of natural and reversible processes. The theme is concerned with the theory and application of new forms experimental design that take into account the processes of continuous transformation of the territory, imagining a flexible architecture-filter composed of open systems capable of adapt to the logic of collaboration and sharing of goods tangible and intangible.
2) Architectures for Reuse: a privileged subject is a sensitive and inclusive architecture both towards the physical and material aspects of the contexts, and above all to the immaterial, historical, anthropological and sociological goods that characterize the territories of the 21st century and which are an invisible part of the spaces we inhabit. Outside the compact city, Donadieu identifies three types of nature that characterize the surrounding territories: the spontaneous and wild nature of abandoned and uncultivated land, which escapes man's control; the cultivated nature both in the countryside and in the city with commercial objectives; nature designed for garden characterized by aesthetic and symbolic destinations. Thus interpreted, urban interstitial gaps in territorial cities are potential evolutionary and transformable systems, where every natural component can assume a spatial and social role in relation to local policies and users. In this way it is possible to satisfy the desire of the emerging city territory by combining the three types of nature present, described above, within an urban landscape project.

This book series deals with scientific research in the fields of city, landscape and architecture within the current focus on reuse and conversion of built heritage.
Special attention is placed on the sensible and inclusive aspect of architecture as far as it in- cludes physical parts of context as well as immaterial aspect such as historical, antropological and sociological ones. These “invisible elements of architecture” are at the core of the book series. Consistently, key notions for this topic will be space-in-between, sublime, uncanny, and of course many others. These can help to understand some “experential” issues which are normally excluded from design development.
The wide speculations of cultural anthropology and of phenomenolgy and existentialism set the ground for our approach.

Director of the series: Michele Sbacchi, University of Palermo; Scientific Committee: Oriel Prizeman, Senior Lecturer, Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University; Santiago Quesada-Garcia, Profesor Titular, Universidad de Sevilla; Federica Visconti, University of Naples Federico II; Koon Wee, The University of Hong Kong; Hyacinth Cereere, Oil Forest League Free School of Design and Environment.
