He teaches Building Technology for Civil Engineering students.
The main research activities concern the issue of accessible design and the study of the summer thermal behavior of buildings.
Since 1996, deals with accessible design with particular attention to the following topics: - The elimination of architectural barriers in ancient buildings and archaeological sites; - Applicability and interpretation of legislation for the removal of architectural barriers according to the principles of Design for All and the International Classification of Functioning (ICF); - Study of devices to increase the autonomy of people with disabilities.
Related to these topics: - he is author of several scientific publications; - he conceived and organized a number of training projects and has taught numerous courses and refresher training; - he submitted papers to national and international conferences; - he worked as a consultant for Public and Private.
Along with the issue of accessibility, in recent years he has been dedicated to research on issues of home comfort in buildings during the summer facing the following topics: - Analytical and experimental evaluation of dynamic parameters (dynamic transmittance, phase shift, attenuation); - Optimization of the stratigraphy of the walls for summer conditions.
