Prof. Rota research activity falls within the biostatistic and epidemiological field. Main research topics are:
•Consortia of epidemiological studies (IPD, individual participant data meta-analysis) for the study of cancer risk factors, and related statistical methodologies;
•Generalized random-effects meta-regression models and flexible random-effects meta-regression methods for the study of non-linear dose-response relationships;
•Conduction of systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses of individual and published data of clinical and epidemiological studies;
•Analysis of data from epidemiological studies;
•Study, analysis, research and implementation of new statistical methodologies in biomedical sciences.
