Scientific profile

Full professor of Economics at the Department of Economics and Management. He obtained a Phd in Economics from University of Bologna after a BSc in Statistics and Economics at University of Padova. He has been visiting professor at Royal Holloway University of London, post doc fellow at Center for Economic Research University of Tilburg (NL) and visiting research student al Department of Economics, University College London. His research activity is mainly focused on empirical economics, using microeconometrics to study the behavior of households and firms. He has published on the American Economic Review, The Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Human Resources, Review of Finance and Energy Policy.

Curriculum Vitae

Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Brescia.
He obtained the BA in Statistics and Economics from the University of Padova, and the Doctorate in Economics from the University of Bologna. During his doctorate program he was visiting research student at the Department of Economics of University College London, afterward - thanks to a European Union TMR Personal Fellowship - he has been post doctoral fellow at Center (University of Tilburg, NL).

He published in international journals such as The American Economic Review, The Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of Applied Econometrics, the Journal of Human Resources and the Review of Finance.

He served as referee for the European Economic Review, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of the European Economic Association, Review of Economic Studies, Review of Economics and Statistics and MIT Press.

He acted as consultant for the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance (Public Investments Evaluation Unit), the OECD (ELS Department and Economics Department) and the World Bank.
