Curriculum Vitae

EDUCATION AND POSITIONS
He graduated in Mathematics in 1992 at the University of Milano. Ph.D in "Computational methods for economic and financial decision making" at the University of Bergamo in 1998.. Since 01.11.2001 has been full-time researcher in Mathematics for economic applications at the Faculty of Economics, University of Brescia. Since 01.09.2005 is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Brescia.

'TEACHING ACTIVITY
He teaches (or has taught) several courses at the Faculty of Economics, University of Brescia (algorithms and programming, Programming Languages, Information Systems, Computer programming for Finance) in graduate and master programs. He also held a course in linear algebra for the Post-graduate School for Teachers (SILSIS) at University of Bergamo-Brescia.

SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY
His research was conducted mainly on the following topics: portfolio selection, analysis of competitiveness for scheduling problems, optimization of vehicle routing. In collaboration with Italian and foreign colleagues he is the author of more than 20 papers in international journals, more than 10 chapters in books and conference proceedings contributions, and several working papers. Some of the journals in which he published are: European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Banking and Finance, Operations Research Letters, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Algorithmica, Journal of Scheduling.
He has presented his work in several national and international conferences and served as a referee for several international journals including: European Journal of Operational Research, Omega, Transportation Science, Acta Informatica, Computers and Operations Research, and Information Processing Letters, Journal of Scheduling, Operation Research Letters.
