Graduated in Mechanical Engineering in March 2001, from November 2001 he covers the role of manager of the Workshop of the Mechanical and Industrial Department of the University of Brescia. From November 2002 he is Assistant Professor at the Mechanical and Industrial Department of the University of Brescia of Manufacturing and Production Systems. The research activities cover the scientific sector of manufacturing and production systems. The main topic of his researches is the experimental and simulative analysis of cutting operations. Tool wear, residual stresses and material strain hardening are phenomena analyzed and studied during the conducted researches. In the last years a new research field has been covered, the micromilling process. Experimental tests, consisting on micromilling cut allowed to study how reduce the burr formation during micromilling process. Titanium alloy was investigated as cutting material. In the field of plastic deformations he studied several traditional and innovative processes, such as the Mannesmann process, the Sheet Incremental Forming process by CNC machine, the Tube and Sheet Hydroforming processes. All these researches were based on both experimental and simulative approaches in order to increase the accuracy of the process analysis and to design and to validate simulative models able to forecast the process parameters influence on the final product.
