Alessandro Fanzani.
Since 2023: Full Professor (L. 240/10), SSD BIOS-07/A General Biochemistry, University of Brescia, Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine.
Education/Training
2015-2023: Associate Professor
2005: Researcher position at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Brescia (Italy).
2004-2005: Post-Doc at the Department of Microbiology by the New York University (USA).
2003: PhD in “Cellular and Molecular Biotechnologies applied to the Biomedicine” University of Brescia (Italy).
1999: Master’s degree in Biological Science – Biomolecular field (with full marks) in by the University of Milan (Italy).
Research interests
The laboratory (https://alessandrofanzaniunibslab.wordpress.com/) is part of an international network (http://focusonrhabdo.org/), involved in the study of rhabdomyosarcoma, a pediatric tumor.

 American Rally Foundation for “A Collaborative Pediatric Cancer Research Awards Program” with an Independent Investigator Grant for the project entitled “Targeting Caveolin-1 in embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma”.
 Host Lab for a one-year long Veronesi fellowship.
 Host Lab for a two-years long AIRC fellowship (Italian Association for Cancer Research).
 E.U.L.O. (Ente Universitario Lombardia Orientale) foundation financed the project entitled “Role of caveolar components in rhabdomyosarcoma”.
