1988 Graduated cum laude in Mathematics, University of Milan, supervisor L.Galgani

1991 “Ricercatore” in Mathematical Analysis, University of Milan

1995 PhD in Functional Analysis and Applications at SISSA Trieste, supervisor A.Bressan

1998 Associate Professor in Mathematical Analysis, University of Brescia

2003 Qualified as full professor in Mathematical Analysis, University of Trento

2005 Enrolled as full professor in Mathematical Analysis, University of Brescia

Author of more than 130 papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings, with more than 30 co-authors from 12 different countries.

Since 1993 works on conservation laws, preferably on analytic problems with significant applications, e.g., from fluid dynamics or vehicular/crowd dynamics.

Topological Methods in Nonlinear Analysis, since 2015

Visited or delivered seminars at Stanford, Brown, Max Planck Institut, (Leipzig), Penn State University, IWR (Heidelberg), Ecole Polytechnique (Paris), RWTH (Aachen) and tìat the universities of Crete, Freiburg, Kaiserslautern, Marseille, Maryland (College Park), Nice, Toulon, Wisconsin (Madison), Wuerzburg.

Co-organizer of 3 Oberwolfach meetings.

Coordinator of research projects funded by public agencies / private companies. Supervisor of postDoc research fellowships.

Supervisor of 3 PhDs at Milano-Bicocca Univesity, referee for a PhD thesis at Kaiserslautern University, referee for a PhD thesis at Lyon University.
