Curriculum Vitae
Antonio Visioli was born in Parma, Italy, in 1970. He received the Laurea degree (five years) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Parma in 1995 and the PhD degree in Applied Mechanics from the University of Brescia in 1999, discussing a PhD thesis entitled "Control strategies for industrial robot manipulators".
From 1997 to 2005 he has been assistant professor in Control Systems at the Department of Electronics for Automation of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Brescia. From February 2005 to May 2016 he has been associate professor in Control Systems at the same same university. From June 2017 he is full professor of Control Systems at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the University of Brescia. In the last twenty years he has taught many different courses in the automatic control field. In particular, he currently teaches the courses of Fundamentals of Automatic Control and Control Systems Technologies. He is the head of the Industrial Control research group and of the Industrial Control Laboratory. He has supervised many bachelor, master, and PhD theses.
His research interests include the design and tuning of additional functionalities for industrial controllers, the design of non-standard (event-based and fractional) industrial controllers, industrial robot manipulators motion planning and control, and the design of controllers for total intravenous anesthesia.
Prof. Visioli has published more than 250 papers in international journals and international conference proceedings, he has authored one research monograph, coauthored two research monograph and one international textbook.
He has served as general chair, international program committee chair and member of the international program committee of various international conferences and he cooperates with many international institutions.
