David Vetturi, degree in Mechanical Engineering (1993) and doctorate (PhD) in Applied Mechanics (1996), is researcher within the Deptartment of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the University of Brescia (Italy) since 1997. He currently has the didactic responsibility of the Measurement Systems for Mechanical Engineering curses at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Brescia. His research interests include especially mechanical measure, with particular attention the analysis of complex mechanical system. Other themes of research are mechanical vibration problems, the study of behaviours of viscoelastic materials (rubber) for industrial and automotive applications and soft computing methods (neural networks, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithm, simulation technique) for mechanical design and analysis problems. Since march 2005 he is Associate Professor of Mechanical and Thermal Measurement at Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department – University of Brescia.
