Abstract:
A flashlamp-pumped dye laser using barium sulfate or polytetrafluoroethylene powders as diffuse reflectors in a close-coupled pumping geometry is described. Long pulse pumping (15 μsec) and use of a vacuumwalled dye cell gave an efficiency of 0.8%
