Abstract:
The Cold War was generated by a complex political-military opposition of an economic,
cultural, and ideological nature, in a new bipolar world divided between the two superpowers
Usa and Ussr. In this historical context, Nato implemented the Troposcatter network with a
global extension. In this paper, the disused bases of Dosso dei Galli in Bagolino and
Cavriana will be described, analysing their architectural characteristics in relation to their
connections with the landscape.
