A dynamic contact problem between two thermoelastic beams

Abstract:
We deal with a system modelling the vibrations of two thermoelastic beams in dynamic unilateral contact across a joint. Under suitable mechanical and thermal boundary
conditions, we obtain a global in time existence result and we show the exponential decay
of the energy associated to the system.
