Daniele Manerba is an Associate Professor of Operations Research at the Dept. of Information Engineering (DII) of the University of Brescia, Italy. Between 2019 and 2022, he has been a (Senior) Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Information Engineering (DII) of the University of Brescia, Italy. Between 2017 and 2019, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN) of Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He holds a Ph.D. in Control and Information Engineering from the University of Brescia and has been a visiting student at the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transportation (CIRRELT) in Montreal, Canada. He led 2 out of 9 WPs of the European H2020 project SYNCHRO-NET (20 international partners, total budget 7.5 million Euros, 42 months), the research unit UNIBS within the PRIN2020 project ULTRAOPTYMAL, and participated in several other funded projects and contracts. He is part of the Editorial Board of the international Journal of Smart Cities and Society and has been Guest Editor of the special issue "Sustainability in Synchromodal Logistics and Transportation" for the international journal "Sustainability". He is a member of the EURO Working Groups on Metaheuristics (EU/ME), on Vehicle Routing and Logistics (VeRoLog), on Stochastic Optimization (EWGSO), and of the Italian Association of Operational Research (AIRO).
Publications: Author of about 40 indexed publications, most of which are articles in international and high-ranked journals. The remaining ones are conference proceedings and book chapters. Author of more than 60 scientific works presented during national and international conferences.
