I segmenti lessicali della lingua inglese tra suoni e silenzi del parlato: considerazioni glottodidattiche

Articolo
Data di Pubblicazione:
2003
Abstract:
An oral approach (listening and speaking) to English, either as a foreign or as a second language, is a difficult and delicate step in learning. Learners are asked to leave their native 'world of sounds' to be invaded by the sounds of the foreign language they are studying. To Italian learners of EFL, the transition from the sounds of their native language to those of English is made still harder by the alterations in pronunciation that isolated words undergo when they are inside a spoken utterance. Contrastive observations between the two languages underline the urgent need for a pedagogy of spontaneous connected speech.
