Obiettivi Formativi
The course provides the necessary methodological tools to:
1. Be able of identifying the geography of the Spanish-speaking countries and their demolinguistic aspects;
2. Acquire the strategies, techniques and knowledge of the specificities of business communication in Spanish at a B1+ level (CEFR);
3. Be able to communicate about general topics at a B1+ level;
4. Be capable of understanding and producing basic business and economic texts at a B1+ level;
5. Be able of using English lexical loans that have entered into Spanish in the economic sphere and be capable of recognise the in business Spanish texts.
COMPREHENSION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
At the end of the course, students will acquire the lexical and linguistic-communicative bases (at a B1+ level) that are necessary to comprehend oral and written general and academic texts related to the following topics: La Empresa, Negocios Internacionales, Recursos Humanos, El Comercio, Marketing y Publicidad, Banca y Bolsa.
APPLICATION OF NOTIONS AND COMPREHENSION SKILLS
At the end of the course, students will be informed of and capable of interpreting oral and written general and academic texts (at a B1+ level) related to the following topics: La Empresa, Negocios Internacionales, Recursos Humanos, El Comercio, Marketing y Publicidad, Banca y Bolsa.
Students will also be capable of applying such knowledge to produce oral and written texts concerning business communication at a B1+ level.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT
At the end of the course, students will be able to identify the most appropriate methods to analyse texts in Spanish at a B1+ level about the following areas: La Empresa, Negocios Internacionales, Recursos Humanos, El Comercio, Marketing y Publicidad, Banca y Bolsa.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
At the end of the course, students will be able to describe basic concepts in Spanish (at a B1+ level) concerning the semantic areas that have been dealt with during the course by means of written and oral texts using accurate and appropriate language.
LEARNING SKILLS
At the end of the course, students will be able to apply acquired linguistic notions and learning methodologies to general and academic contexts and contents going beyond those dealt with during the course and know how to independently analyse new topics on business and management.

Prerequisiti
A2 Spanish as a starting linguistic level.
When necessary, the student with deficiencies in the linguistic competence can strengthen the A2 level during the course.
Metodi didattici
This Spanish language course (40 hours) uses an integrated communicative approach. The face to face lessons provide students with the necessary tools to analyse and discuss oral and written texts concerning the main areas of business communication and academic Spanish, as well as ones that are fundamentals for the mastery of linguistic-communicative and pragmatic-linguistic skills that are required to understand and produce texts in Spanish at a B1+ level.
Through the "Teaching Community" of the course, accessible from the Moodle platform, we also share materials useful for understanding rules and concepts: PPT presentations, images, summary or in-depth information sheets and exercises. This guides the student towards the independent study provided by the course (110 hours).
Grammar and written composition exercises will be planned to be carried out independently by students. The correction of the exercises is required by students during the course.
It is also required the active participation of the student attending the classes, during which he will also be called to perform activities in pairs or groups.

Verifica Apprendimento
The verification of the students' preparation will take place with written exam composed of open questions with predefined answer space and exercises with closed and/or open, true/false, multiple choice questions, exercises to complete and translation. The test will also include an oral comprehension test, a listening of an audio/ video in the same exam.
The total points (30) will be divided on the basis of the questions presented in the test by importance and extent and announced during the examination.
The duration of the written test is 1 hour and 15 minutes. There will not be any subsequent oral test.
The exam topics will reflect those covered during the course and present in the program designed to bring students to reflect. The test is aimed at evaluating the skills of comprehension/written production and oral comprehension (level B1+), grammatical, lexical and functional knowledge.
The written exam, in addition to verifying the knowledge and understanding of the topics covered, aims to verify the above skills (cf learning objectives): the questions, in fact, include descriptive elements but also critical. Necessary to pass the exam is a correct use of terminology and a clear and concise written exposition that exposes the logical links between the aspects considered.

Contenuti
This course, meant for students who have mastered the basics of the Spanish language (A2 level), aims to help students improve their written and oral communication skills. During the course, students progress towards an intermediate knowledge of Spanish by strengthening grammar, vocabulary and functions in order to develop their argumentation skills (B1+level CEFR for languages).Writing, listening and reading comprehension activities are centered on certain key points of business world and current economic, social and political events in Spanish speaking countries.
The course provides students with the necessary linguistic and cultural skills to effectively manage communicative strategies within the fields of business and management in Spanish in an international context (B1+ level of the CEFR), providing students with geography and demolinguistic aspects of Spanish in the world and society.
The course also offers a lexical study of the English loans entered into Spanish in the economic field, through the analysis of some articles of economic magazines available online.
