Research activities

Streams: (1) Energy, Environment and Safety in Industrial Plants, (2) Logistics and Inventory Control, (3) Supply Chain Management, (4) Productive Systems: modeling, organization and control. Previous interests were in Industrial General Services and Production Systems.
Author and co-author of about 170 publications (38 on International Journals and International book chapters), invited papers and didactical textbooks.
Present teaching activities: “Production Management” (6 credits in the course of “Management of Production and Safety”) and “Optimization and Management of Production Processes” (6 credits in the course of “Management of Processes and Supply Chains”). Courses have been taught in various editions of Master programs as well as seminars abroad (e.g., Universities of Linkoping (S), Magdeburg (D), Kosice (SK)).

since 2001 to 2009 included: member of the Faculty Commission for the Admission Test (matriculation) at the courses of Engineering;
since November 2001 to November 2006: elected member of the University Council of Research;
since 2002 to 2003 included: participant to the programme for the evaluation and implementation of the Quality Systems in the Italian Universities, as responsible for the Faculty of Engineering;
