n 2008 and 2013, I received the M.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brescia (Italy), respectively, carrying out part of my research and scientific education at the Field and Space Robotics Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Currently I am Assistant Professor of electrical energy systems at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Brescia, where I carry out research activities in the field of electrical energy systems and distributed generation, with specific focus on the modelling, control and management of distributed energy resources and on their integration into distribution networks and micro-grids. My main research interests include: energy systems, distributed generation from renewable energy sources, solar engineering, electrical energy storage systems, measurement systems, monitoring and analysis of electrical loads and generators, energy management systems, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, electric vehicle charging systems, smart grids and micro-grids.
