*RESEARCH ACTIVITY
Research in micro manipulation and assembly.
Research in kinematics and dynamics of linkages, robots and multi-body systems (robotics, biomechanics): theoretical developments and constructions of general purpose simulation software for planar and spatial systems (open and closed chains).
Development of robotic prototypes for industrial, biomechanics and rehabilitation applications.
Kinematics and dynamic Calibration of robots: development of optical systems for end-effector pose measurement, algorithms for the estimation of kinematics and dynamics parameters of robots. Research also in cooperation with researchers of Univ. of W.Australia.
Position and hybrid velocity-force control of robots with particular interesting in contour tracking and deburring of objects of unknown shape.
Analysis of human movement (kinematics and dynamics) based on analysis of filmed sport actions; in cooperation with researchers of Univ. of Auckland NZ and California State Univ. and developments/optimizations of electrogoniometer and accelerometer systems for human motion measurement.
Theoretical and experimental analysis of mechanical components like Harmonic Drive speed reducers and indexing mechanisms.
Reviewer for many scientific journals in Applied Mechanics, Robotics, Biomechanics.
