Curriculum Vitae Position: -Professor of Hydraulic Structures at the University of Brescia (Italy), Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture, Land and Environment (DICATA). Degree: In the year 1979 graduated cum laude in Civil Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of Padova University. Teaching experience: He taught Hydrology at Padova University till 1982, at Udine University till 1990 and since 1991 at Faculty of Engineering of Brescia University. Research activity Visiting Professor at Marquette University (Wisconsin, USA) and Imperial College (London) during academic years 2000 – 2001. Scientific Coordinator for the following international project financed by European Community: - “Life Project 96/ENV/IT/122 Integrated management and simulation of sewer network, treatment plant and final receipts”. 1.200.000 € of financial support in cooperation with Water Research Centre, S.G.I., Brescia Municipality and Hydrodata. - Craft Project “Water Monitor”, contract n. EVK1-CT 2002-30022 in cooperation with Vienna University, Scan (Wien), Dunvegan Network (England), Mesurex (Spain) and PPT (Italy) for real time water management system based on innovative monitoring equipment installed at water intakes. The project was totally financed by E.C. for 890.000 €. In 2000 has been the coordinator of the Course organized by International Centre for Mechanical Science (C.I.S.M.) about “Urban drainage management for improvement of water quality in find receipts”. Since 1999 is following an experimental project for regulated lake management (Idro lake, Lombardia, Italy). Urban drainage advanced management and water quality propagation in water mains are the main research fields of interest.
