Graduated in 1985 from the University of Parma Medical School. He specialized in Radiology in 1991 and became assistant professor of Neuroradiology at the University of Brescia in 1992. He has been in charge of the teaching program of Neuroradiology at the local Medical School since 1995. Associate professor of Neuroradiology at the University of Brescia Medical School in 2002. He became Head of the Neuroradiology Unit of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at the University Hospital "Spedali Civili di Brescia in 2003. He has been involved in clinical research on Magnetic Resonance Imaging in cerebrovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, multiple sclerosis, and peripheral nerve diseases. He is the author of 58 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 250 scientific communications at national and international congresses.
