4. Clinical experience and activity
2005 to date Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at “Spedali Civili” di Brescia, as part of the clinical duties as a researcher of the University of Brescia.
I work as part of the general obstetric team in the obstetric and labour ward.
I am also involved in the work of the Fetal Medicine Unit, especially in the Twin Antenatal Clinic. I perform procedures including prenatal diagnosis of fetal malformations, assessment of fetal growth and biophysical activity in high risk pregnancies, Doppler assessment of the uteroplacental and fetal circulations, amniocentesis and fetoscopic laser ablation of placental vessels in twin-to-twin transfusion in monochorionic twin pregnancies.

- IUGR and maternal fetal Doppler’s studies
- Fetal anaemia and alloimmunisation in pregnancy

2006 Winner of the “Tiziana D’Andrea Award” at the SIEOG national Congress for the study “ The study of placental vascular anastomoses in monochorionic twin pregnancies”.
2009 Winner of the “Best oral poster on multiple pregnancy” at the 19th ISUOG congress for the study “Outcome of monochorionic diamniotic pregnancies followed at a single Twin Clinic”
I am a member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG) from 2003 and Italian Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (SIEOG) from 2006.
