Born in Milano in 9.03.1958. Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at University of Milan in 1984. Postgraduated in Odontostomatology at University of Pavia in 1988.Worked as senior clinical assistant and Head of restorative and endodontic department in the Dental Clinic of the University of Brescia till 1990 to 2000.
In 1992-93-94-95-96 is professor of operative dentistry and Endodontics at School of Dentistry of the Brescia University. From 1997 to 2000 is assistant clinical professor in restorative dentistry and endodontics at the same University. Teacher Postgraduate in Operative Dentistry at University of Ancona, Napoli-Federico II, Roma – La Sapienza, Chieti, Genova.
In the 2000 he is Professor of Operative Dentistry at School of Dentistry of the University of Brescia.
In the 2003 he is Associate Professor in full charge f the University of Brescia.
Since 2006-2007 he is Professor of Operative Dentistry in the University Vita e Salute- San Raffaele.
He has been in period 20001-2003 member of the board of SIDOC (Società italiana di Odontoiatria Conservatrice). He is active member of the SIE (Società italiana di Endodonzia), SIDOC (Società italiana di Odontoiatria Conservatrice), International Association for Dental Research (I.A.D.R.), and Accademia Italiana di Odontoiatria Microscopica (A.I.O.M.)
Since 2008 he is Editor in chief of Giornale Italiano di Endodonzia.
He had in 2002 a research grant, as local research local unit director, of “Progetto Biennale Interuniversitario 2002-2004, Programmi di Ricerca Scientifica di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale (COFIN 2002) Dm N. 20 del 19 Febbraio 2002 - Prot. 2002063819_002 Anno 2002”: “New materials and technology in restoring damaged and endodontically treated tooth”.
He had in 2005a research grant, as local research local unit director of University of Brescia and Coordinator of Research Units of University Politecnico delle Marche, Napoli “Federico II” e Roma “Tor Vergata” in Progetto Biennale Interuniversitario 2005-2007, Programmi di Ricerca Scientifica di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale (COFIN 2005 ) DM n. 287 del 23 febbraio 2005) - prot. 2005062309:Tecnologie e materiali innovativi in odontoiatria restaurativa: interfacce adesive, caratteristiche biomeccaniche e infiltrazione marginale.
