The (historical and) legal dimension is the space within which the paper addresses the theme of image “reuse”, through the diaphragm of “identity”,
focusing on some analysis suggestions that aim above all to be a stimulus to transdisciplinary reflection. This, starting from some lexical and methodological premises, aimed at declining in the context of law an activity, namely re-use, which does not fall within a precise legal frame and which, rather, imposes an effort of interpretation and conceptualization on the jurist. On the basis of these premises, three short paths are proposed within the contemporary legal experience, representing three different perspectives from which to appreciate some aspects of the legal relationship between image, reproduction, and reuse, which also affect (sometimes unexpectedly) identity.
