Carlo Lorenzo Cazzullo (1915-2010): father of Italian psychiatry

January 30th, 2015, was the one-hundredth anniversary of the birth of Carlo Lorenzo Cazzullo, one of the most important and influential Italian psychiatrists (Fig. 1). He was 95 years old at the time of his death, in Milan on May 4, 2010. His long and very active life was marked by an inexhaustible passion for the study of schizophrenia and to advance the care of all patients with psychiatric disorders.
