The research addresses the growing importance of corporate sus tainability in the water sector, where managing social and environ mental impacts effectively and responsibly is paramount. Using Q-methodology, this study examines employee perceptions within Italian water companies, emphasizing how diverse internal stake holders prioritize factors critical to the successful implementation of sustainability programs. The analysis identified four distinct per spectives, highlighting that employees’ views are influenced by or ganizational roles, personal values, and external conditions. Based on these findings, the study advocates for a segmented approach to sustainability strategies, emphasizing the importance of em ployee engagement and multi-stakeholder collaboration. By aligning internal practices with broader societal expectations, organizations can enhance their credibility and successfully implement sustainability initiatives that are inclusive, well-targeted, and responsive to the diverse needs of stakeholders.
