Violenza domestica e pandemia. Aspetti da non sottovalutare

The article deals with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on domestic violence in the Italian context. After defining the notion of domestic violence, it tries to identify some of the possible problems related to the pandemic containment measures and some of the main countermeasures adopted by the Italian Government to protect the victims during the first lockdown, from March to May 2020. While recognizing that some attention has been paid to domestic violence, particularly against women, the author calls for a more comprehensive and intersectional approach, which takes into account the specific needs of the most vulnerable victims, such as children, the elderly and persons with disabilities.
